Choosing the right garment
At Annette Designs we aim to match your requirements with exactly the right garments. To help you understand the properties of each item we use the following symbols on our website.
Sensitive Skin
This is our flagship collection. These garments have been made with skin-friendly textiles and constructed with complete comfort in mind. Many carry the internationally recognised Oeko-Tex “Confidence in Textiles” label. All the lingerie in Annette Designs is chosen for its comfort and breathability, but this section highlights only the very kindest to the skin. You will find both cotton and microfibre fabrics and few, if any, seams. The Anita bras have been developed specifically for people with sensitive skin and for those undergoing radiotherapy treatment. The Royce Post Surgery bra contains healing silver and is welcome addition to this selection.
Front Fastening
There are times when it is easier to wear a bra which opens at the front. These are all particularly gentle bras and are suitable for wearing post-surgery and during a course of radiotherapy treatment. Prices range from the excellent-value Royce Comfi Bra to the top-of-the-range Anita Salvia .
Crop tops
Crop tops can be one of the most comfortable options for sleepwear and relaxing. We now stock the very popular Sloggi double comfort top .
Pocketed
We have an excellent range of pocketed bras and tops which you can buy without the hassle of going to the shops. We recommend that you take advice from your breast care clinic so that you can order exactly what you need. All the bras in our collection have bi-lateral pockets.
Hospital Wear
These garments are suitable for pre- and postoperative wear. The collection includes everything from hospital panties and compression bras for immediate post-surgery wear to comfortable front-opening bras which will be useful for years after!
High cotton
We try always to include details of the exact fabric make up on each product page. For 100% cotton, try the very soft “Naturana vest” . The highest cotton content bras are the Royce Comfi Bra and the Anita Prosthesis Bra – both are at 97% cotton!
Plus sizes
Many of our garments are available in plus sizes. Check individual product page for size range.
Lymphoedema
These garments are designed to give support without causing pressure points. The collection has been put together in collaboration with Royal Derby Hospital Lymphoedema Clinic and features a wide range of support options from the Anita Compression Bra and Belt to the extremely elegant Florence Bra and Aerelle Bra.
Sportswear
All the lingerie here has been designed to give you the support you need in the kindest most breathable way. We have a balanced collection of sportswear suitable for mild through to vigorous exercise, from the gentle support of the sumptuous silk-lined Anita Calmia to the full-strength support of the Royce Impact Free Sports Bra .
